So, we talk to them and then filled a form to participate. We had no real idea what was all this about so we just follow through and life continued… a few months past and then suddenly we got an email saying that we had been selected as “Best Catering Company in 2018 - Colorado” for the “Lux Life Magazine Global Wedding Awards”…
My first question was, this must be wrong… haha but, How is it that we won? and how did you guys came to this conclusion? Click here to see their process… We needed to understand before we went out there in the world shouting something.
They explained the process that they go through it and well… apparently we did received this award!!… Not only that but we also made it to their Magazine with a one page issue, and sent us a trophy!!! Yaii!!
We are proud to say that our very small catering company from Fort Collins Colorado won an award that represent the whole state.

I have to say that meeting Peter and Liz was like a fun roller coaster. On our first meeting there was not much open, but as we all started to get to know each other a great communication was open and the excitement of planning the food sparked and we where all in the same awesome train to make a fantastic adventure together.
The tasting was one that we would never forget. As you all may know we do our tasting in our clients home and they invite a few friends to have 6 in total, they bring alcohol, we bring food and it is a personal in-home chef experience, a small ‘taste’ of what their menu was all going to be about. We all had a great time, made the necessary arrangement and off we where ready for the next steps.
Wedding Day
This is when all the planning and all the details come into play. Since we all had a great communication we where all ready to enjoy their selection of food choices and just ready to have a great time at The Preserve at Bingham Hill Event Center.

The entire adventure with Ashley & Ben was one that we can only be grateful to life and to them. Since the moment we meet at the coffee place, to the day we were presenting their meal at their wedding, it was an adventure that we will always remember.
The Tasting...
This day was a complete blast!! Ashely & Ben open their amazing home as we love to share our tastings in the comfort of our clients life. The laughs, the love, the toasts, it was a true great experience!! Thank you and we take this great memory with us.
The Day...
I am not going to lie, this day was a true Colorado Climate Temper day... I think the Gods could not decide if the weather was going to be rainy, hail, sunny, windy, calm... As everyone inside the gorgeous venue of Windsong Estate Events Center was trying to accommodate to each change of climate, the kitchen was getting ready and then waiting, then ready then waiting... a true adventure as we see it. We were running outside to bring hot food from the ovens in a crazy moment of rain, and then 30 seconds after, the sun was coming out... It is so true what people in Colorado say about their weather... "Ohh It's Colorado Weather!!" which really it just means, anything can happen regardless of the day and season.

It was a random day and we got a submission form on our email.... a new adventure was a about to start, or was it not?
We meet these two amazing souls on life's crazy tides, and I have to say that we had an amazing connection since the very first moment. We left our meeting hoping that they had the same feeling and we could all have a blast together!!
Lucky for us, they wanted to move on and do a tasting... and then the tasting day was here, and I will never forget those amazing Margaritas!! Wow! Both open their door to us and we had a great time. It was them, and a couple of other great friends!! Laughs where flowing, love was rising and the tasting food was reaching their table. On a blink of an eye, it was wedding day. Their venue of choice was Block One Events in the heart of Fort Collins.
Our team arrived and we got to production on creating our space to make magic, and to collaborate with other amazing vendors who had done such a great! Amazing Job from event planner Alexandra Valenti!! Three long tables, and great DJ, Music, drinks and food from all over the world.
We loved having this opportunity as we loved that in their full vegetarian menu, they wanted to showcase that there is plenty of great food out there to not have to kill animals in order to have a feast. I know that with that amazing and caring mentality, you two will reach great deiptness in you life. We thank you for making us part of your celebration and for allowing us to express our love for the Culinary Arts. It was an absolute pleasure and we hope that life keep us having more adventures together. We wish you a great safe journey of love and companionship, and to continue to explore the most majestic gift of life; LOVE.

The Path to a Wedding or Event Should Be Fun and Adventurous, Not Stressful and Oppresive.
Wedding season is just around the corner and this year, we wanted to be as prepared as we could so we can just enjoy this amazing magical events we all call Weddings!! =D
At the end of last wedding season, Juli & I learned plenty from the community, the business and "the industry" to decided that we where going to do things in a different way. A way that would benefit us all, from the client perspective, the vendor perspective, and not to forget our natural environment perspective. This ideas came to mind because last year we where able to see what "this Industry" does to all of the mentioned above. I have to say that to begin, it was crazy the pace it makes you live between weddings, and tastings, and creating menus at the same time. Very stressful, to points we wanted to just drop everything and move on with our lives. But we also know that adapting is a process in life, and here we are adapting to the USA train. One of the great things, is that we are stubborn and both big nerds that believe in learning and evolving, so we can leave something behind where we can all benefit in the future. Let me say it very simple: Not everything is about money. We say this in the best possible way and to not suffer the crazy consequences of high season in Northern Colorado. I am sure there are many people from the planning to the delivering, who understand what I mean!! =D
First and very important: our environment. The amount of trash we all create in our events, it is insane!!, so because of this, we are only working with 100% recycle dish-ware as a start. If you are asking, It is not that much more expensive than plastic and styrofoam when you add the cost of trashing oceans, rivers and hence everything that lives from it... INCLUDING US!, so we invite everyone to join this change.
Second: The political face. I am just going to jump into this complicated and kind of business-political topic, and since we are part of a community in Fort Collins who wants to leave a better world that the one we are inheriting, we need to speak up: In our short path, Juli & I have encounter many kind of ways our society do business, some incredibly amazing, were they are exaples to follow and learn, and some, it almost feels like it is not a fair way, playing all kinds of sales and business tactics, where they want to position themselves to never give away into their business demands. Example: presuring clients to sign before they get a chance to completely understand who they are signing for their event/wedding. We do not agree with this tactics, as we belibe the fairest ground are always meeting in the middle tactics.
In our experience, we have seen a great deal of ways that we feel are everyones best selling tools: like your kindness, your undertanding, your flexibilty, your profesionalism, your art, your creativity, your atention to remember that this is not only about money or you, but about your client; you are not just a business, you are a performer in someone else's theatrical act. So to all those great business that are already aplying this amazing tactics, we thank you for making our community a greater community. =D
Finding out this realities as we walk in our path, has been a great inspiration to make things better-different according to us, to make them just, to make them fun, to make them flow according to nature's needs, to make them affordable and adventurous. Juli and I have been listening to our community, and rest assure we are creating our company with a flexibility to meet in the middle. As it is because of You, our clients, that we get the opportunity to do what we love the most; creating fun gastronomicl events. We are always trying to turn any situation into an adventure, were there is practically a stress free environment. You are about to plan the most amazing party of your lives and it shoud be incredible since the moment you said YES!! So rest assure that with us, there is no signing anything until: we have meet, provided a personalized menu, and most important, until you have try food samples from your chosen menu!!! Remember that when you are planning an event, there should always be a feeling of flexibility on both ends, as the path to a wedding should be fun and adventurous, not stressful and oppressive.

Nothing says I love you like opening you should to your loved one, like trusting life's most precious treasure; our heart. This day we catered to this Kay & Williams and it was an amazing day. The love that these two young hearted souls shared that day was one to learn from.
The party was a lot of fun and we all integrated into an amazing atmosphere, with John E. Hunt as a bartender keeping everyone served and happy!!!
