What an amazing day was this last May 19th. Not only did we got to express our love for the culinary arts, but we also got to share it... and not only share the flavor, but also the story that went behind the passion, and creations of some of our dishes.

What an amazing day was this last May 19th. Not only did we got to express our love for the culinary arts, but we also got to share it... and not only share the flavor, but also the story that went behind the passion, and creations of some of our dishes.
A few months ago a young fellow called Seth Silvers approached to us and asked us if we wanted to be part of this great event. The name? Story On. This great name captivated our interests and once we heard the whole enchilada, we were on for the challenge. Juli and I needed to convert a room into a culinary story. From the food to the words and the atmosphere.
Obviously there was nothing really hard to think about it. Juli & I have Mexico embedded in our life, we have absorbed the love and passion that they share with the world, and we wanted to do the same. So we decided we were going to create a crazy Mexican party!!, with tacos and margaritas for menu. We had envisioned to transform the entire room into a colorful-crazy-shocking kind of exaggerated Mexican street.
What happened? Well what better way to tell the story than thru the eyes of our amazing friend and photographer John Robson... and here is what he captured as the night happened and the food and smiles filled that gorgeous room at The Articulate in our beloved city of Fort Collins.
Take in consideration that we were just one of the stories of the night. Other artists exposed their story as well.

This arena has the greatest vision we have seen since we move to Fort Collins, and it is perfect for any lover in the kitchen. It allows you to implement and teach the Culinary Arts. Everything is just perfect to work with. There is a flow, there is light, there are toys, and space to move. We are grateful for Ginger and Baker to have provided such a space for the Community to grow and submerge in the spirit of joy, laugh, and sharing.
The First Class
Although this was our second class in the Teaching Kitchen, it was the first open to the public for Juli & I. We had a blast, what a wonderful moment we share with 16 amazing souls. Thank you all for this incredible time, and for opening your heart to listening to our nonsenses in the class. We hope that you had the best of times and we hope to see you guys again very soon!! =D

Angie Grenz from Verboten Brewing in Loveland gave us a call after a great friend of ours whispered in her ear that we could deliver tacos, and the idea came together; Beer & Tacos Pairing.
This experience was new for us. Never we have paired tacos in our lives, so it was the perfect excuse to do so. We went on and did our research and found some fun useful information on hows and whys of beer pairings. So after we nerds out the texts it was time for our brain and our tong to start coming up with good ideas, check out the menu to see what we came up with to pair Verboten beer list with.

Amongst many crazy talented souls and a roof full of traditional Mexican decorations, drinks, food, music we all hosted a fun night to remember!! The Coloradoan, Mountainside Events, Downtown Artery, Mulberry Max, John Robson's Photography & Us; Juli y Juan.
A New Format
This was an amazing collaboration and the results where really fun. Juli & I proposed a different format for the Pop-Up Pairing, one where everyone could enjoy not inly the food but the ambiance in a way that food would always be there on display. So we set up a few stations offering tacos, desserts and drinks.
I want to say thanks to everyone that supported us, we are truly grateful for the opportunities you gave us and you have giving us in the past, without your support we would never be lucky enough to express our culinary creation.
Also to all of our staff you make magic when we work together!! We love working amongst you, thank you for all the dedication and love you provide to the gatherings.
I cannot finish by saying that I am the luckiest man alive, as I have by my side the most amazing person a man, friend, husband, business partner can ask. Juli I truly admire you and love having fun with you as we explore this world and enjoy all this adventures together... =D

A few days ago, we had the pleasure of sharing our art with a magnificent human being. Taryn Strope graduated from Architecture School in Bozeman, Montana!! Quite the achievement!! We will keep eyes on your creations and growth!!

This party took place on the Strope's Estate in a gorgeous day with live music from Wasteland Hops which was amazing as always!!!
Catering the Taco Bar on original Mexican cooking Clay was a great idea by Kim Strope and it worked perfect!! We love having the opportunity to create new experiences and fun adventures alongside the people we love!!
Juli & I are very grateful for this amazing opportunity and we hope we keep creating fun and crazy adventures together in the future!!
