Not long ago, a fantastic call came from Samantha Prust, an amazing artist who writes for NOCO STYLE MAGAZINE, amongst others, and asked us if we could shared some insights for an article she was writing. Samantha, Juli & I, meet in our home and we had an amazing time getting to know each other. The conversations went far deeper than the article, and we where blessed to have her artistic approach… in life this are the kind of unique moments Juli & I love to share.
A few days after we got another called from NOCO STYLE MAGAZINE to see if we could share a recipe with them, and obviously we where thrilled to do so… We shared our Bacon Jam on Brie Bruschetta. We hope you enjoy it!!

The Adventure...
It all started like any other given day. A few calls here, and there exchanging ideas and dreams to be made. For us the adventure of doing their wedding sounded more and more appealing. They wanted to do it at their gorgeous home, we where going to collaborate with great artists, the family was amazing to talk to, it was just a great flow of events... Then the tasting.
The Tasting...
This day was a fabulous one. We got to really meet everyone involved in the wedding as we were creating the wedding tasting. Their home kitchen is like a dream kitchen and so we got into our outfits and all together where just enjoying the moment; laughs, jokes, smiles, food, drinks and companionship was all there. This by the way is the recopy to any successful gathering... in the end we where all ready for the big day to arrive. =D
Jenny, Grace & Brian, thank you so much for this wonderful day!! What a great gift was to be able to share this day with you. =D
The Wedding Day...
Juli & I love to get tour events as early as we can. We do not like to work under pressure as you cannot completely create the necessary bonding with the battle field. We need to allow the creative aspect to flow and to be able to understand what would be the best way to create the logistics, organize and deliver everything in the timely manner... and all having a fabulous time during the process. The kitchen was ready, the food was warming, the wedding was starting and at this point, there is only one thing to do; let go and enjoy the ride.
We served to 165 guests in a "Family Style" dinner. Casey Muller from Pink Dimond Events (event Planner) outdid herself delivering and coordinating a magical day. Way to go!!! and together along many other artist we where able to give Grace & Brian, and their family and friends a memorable day in a celebration of love.

This day was a complete blast!! Ashely & Ben open their amazing home as we love to share our tastings in the comfort of our clients life. The laughs, the love, the toasts, it was a true great experience!! Thank you and we take this great memory with us.
The Day...
I am not going to lie, this day was a true Colorado Climate Temper day... I think the Gods could not decide if the weather was going to be rainy, hail, sunny, windy, calm... As everyone inside the gorgeous venue of Windsong Estate Events Center was trying to accommodate to each change of climate, the kitchen was getting ready and then waiting, then ready then waiting... a true adventure as we see it. We were running outside to bring hot food from the ovens in a crazy moment of rain, and then 30 seconds after, the sun was coming out... It is so true what people in Colorado say about their weather... "Ohh It's Colorado Weather!!" which really it just means, anything can happen regardless of the day and season.

It was a random day and we got a submission form on our email.... a new adventure was a about to start, or was it not?
We meet these two amazing souls on life's crazy tides, and I have to say that we had an amazing connection since the very first moment. We left our meeting hoping that they had the same feeling and we could all have a blast together!!
Lucky for us, they wanted to move on and do a tasting... and then the tasting day was here, and I will never forget those amazing Margaritas!! Wow! Both open their door to us and we had a great time. It was them, and a couple of other great friends!! Laughs where flowing, love was rising and the tasting food was reaching their table. On a blink of an eye, it was wedding day. Their venue of choice was Block One Events in the heart of Fort Collins.
Our team arrived and we got to production on creating our space to make magic, and to collaborate with other amazing vendors who had done such a great! Amazing Job from event planner Alexandra Valenti!! Three long tables, and great DJ, Music, drinks and food from all over the world.
We loved having this opportunity as we loved that in their full vegetarian menu, they wanted to showcase that there is plenty of great food out there to not have to kill animals in order to have a feast. I know that with that amazing and caring mentality, you two will reach great deiptness in you life. We thank you for making us part of your celebration and for allowing us to express our love for the Culinary Arts. It was an absolute pleasure and we hope that life keep us having more adventures together. We wish you a great safe journey of love and companionship, and to continue to explore the most majestic gift of life; LOVE.

On June 5th we jumped out of our third straight month of Mexican Cuisine and we started traveling into other directions of street flavors in our world. We decided that Greece was going to be our next destination. We also decided to make things a little simpler and since it's summer, we thought "Why not do it outside?" "Street Food Tuesday" came out of our belief that we can unite our community through food. Our awesome crew, Juli & I believe that a world that moves together is a stronger world... and what better way to get to know other cultures than food? We are creatures who are somewhat confused of the term fear. It does not matter what meaning it has; we normally run in the opposite direction. But, in our crazy minds' process we feel that fear is our compass, and instead of running away
from fear, which is kind of crazy because you cannot run when it lives inside you, is what you should face, conquer, make it normal, realize that the unknown is a great place to be, it makes our lives more adventurous. It depends how you see it, how you believe it.
We believe that if we can keep exploring our world through food, we can realize what other cultures have to offer, and we can cross those imaginary lines that divide us. That, if we get to know each other, we can realize that we are not as different as we might think... We all share very similar traits, with some little changes of color and flavor, as food does. We invite you to come with us and travel the world on a culinary ride that will take you through many street food flavors around the world! This is part of our contribution, it is our way to unite our community and share our passion for a brighter and better future.

What an amazing day was this last May 19th. Not only did we got to express our love for the culinary arts, but we also got to share it... and not only share the flavor, but also the story that went behind the passion, and creations of some of our dishes.

What an amazing day was this last May 19th. Not only did we got to express our love for the culinary arts, but we also got to share it... and not only share the flavor, but also the story that went behind the passion, and creations of some of our dishes.
A few months ago a young fellow called Seth Silvers approached to us and asked us if we wanted to be part of this great event. The name? Story On. This great name captivated our interests and once we heard the whole enchilada, we were on for the challenge. Juli and I needed to convert a room into a culinary story. From the food to the words and the atmosphere.
Obviously there was nothing really hard to think about it. Juli & I have Mexico embedded in our life, we have absorbed the love and passion that they share with the world, and we wanted to do the same. So we decided we were going to create a crazy Mexican party!!, with tacos and margaritas for menu. We had envisioned to transform the entire room into a colorful-crazy-shocking kind of exaggerated Mexican street.
What happened? Well what better way to tell the story than thru the eyes of our amazing friend and photographer John Robson... and here is what he captured as the night happened and the food and smiles filled that gorgeous room at The Articulate in our beloved city of Fort Collins.
Take in consideration that we were just one of the stories of the night. Other artists exposed their story as well.

The Path to a Wedding or Event Should Be Fun and Adventurous, Not Stressful and Oppresive.
Wedding season is just around the corner and this year, we wanted to be as prepared as we could so we can just enjoy this amazing magical events we all call Weddings!! =D
At the end of last wedding season, Juli & I learned plenty from the community, the business and "the industry" to decided that we where going to do things in a different way. A way that would benefit us all, from the client perspective, the vendor perspective, and not to forget our natural environment perspective. This ideas came to mind because last year we where able to see what "this Industry" does to all of the mentioned above. I have to say that to begin, it was crazy the pace it makes you live between weddings, and tastings, and creating menus at the same time. Very stressful, to points we wanted to just drop everything and move on with our lives. But we also know that adapting is a process in life, and here we are adapting to the USA train. One of the great things, is that we are stubborn and both big nerds that believe in learning and evolving, so we can leave something behind where we can all benefit in the future. Let me say it very simple: Not everything is about money. We say this in the best possible way and to not suffer the crazy consequences of high season in Northern Colorado. I am sure there are many people from the planning to the delivering, who understand what I mean!! =D
First and very important: our environment. The amount of trash we all create in our events, it is insane!!, so because of this, we are only working with 100% recycle dish-ware as a start. If you are asking, It is not that much more expensive than plastic and styrofoam when you add the cost of trashing oceans, rivers and hence everything that lives from it... INCLUDING US!, so we invite everyone to join this change.
Second: The political face. I am just going to jump into this complicated and kind of business-political topic, and since we are part of a community in Fort Collins who wants to leave a better world that the one we are inheriting, we need to speak up: In our short path, Juli & I have encounter many kind of ways our society do business, some incredibly amazing, were they are exaples to follow and learn, and some, it almost feels like it is not a fair way, playing all kinds of sales and business tactics, where they want to position themselves to never give away into their business demands. Example: presuring clients to sign before they get a chance to completely understand who they are signing for their event/wedding. We do not agree with this tactics, as we belibe the fairest ground are always meeting in the middle tactics.
In our experience, we have seen a great deal of ways that we feel are everyones best selling tools: like your kindness, your undertanding, your flexibilty, your profesionalism, your art, your creativity, your atention to remember that this is not only about money or you, but about your client; you are not just a business, you are a performer in someone else's theatrical act. So to all those great business that are already aplying this amazing tactics, we thank you for making our community a greater community. =D
Finding out this realities as we walk in our path, has been a great inspiration to make things better-different according to us, to make them just, to make them fun, to make them flow according to nature's needs, to make them affordable and adventurous. Juli and I have been listening to our community, and rest assure we are creating our company with a flexibility to meet in the middle. As it is because of You, our clients, that we get the opportunity to do what we love the most; creating fun gastronomicl events. We are always trying to turn any situation into an adventure, were there is practically a stress free environment. You are about to plan the most amazing party of your lives and it shoud be incredible since the moment you said YES!! So rest assure that with us, there is no signing anything until: we have meet, provided a personalized menu, and most important, until you have try food samples from your chosen menu!!! Remember that when you are planning an event, there should always be a feeling of flexibility on both ends, as the path to a wedding should be fun and adventurous, not stressful and oppressive.

As promised a great collaboration between Juli y Juan's Kitchen and The Articulate came together to create a small Pop-Up Taco Station that we hope to see more and more people. This will happen the first Tuesday of each month and we will be bringing street food recipes from all over the world to change the flavor and flair of your lunch time!!

A few days ago, Juli & I, gave our first cooking class at Ginger & Baker's Teaching Kitchen. Since we move to Fort Collins, we have been trying to create an environment where we can teach. It is our passion to share our love for the Culinary Arts, and our love to preserve the knowledge of good food. We believe that "in order for Life to bless you with more knowledge, it is imperative that you share the one you have acquired by Life.", for us it is some sort of trade we play.

This arena has the greatest vision we have seen since we move to Fort Collins, and it is perfect for any lover in the kitchen. It allows you to implement and teach the Culinary Arts. Everything is just perfect to work with. There is a flow, there is light, there are toys, and space to move. We are grateful for Ginger and Baker to have provided such a space for the Community to grow and submerge in the spirit of joy, laugh, and sharing.
The First Class
Although this was our second class in the Teaching Kitchen, it was the first open to the public for Juli & I. We had a blast, what a wonderful moment we share with 16 amazing souls. Thank you all for this incredible time, and for opening your heart to listening to our nonsenses in the class. We hope that you had the best of times and we hope to see you guys again very soon!! =D

Whiskey + Food = Awesome Pairing! =D
Amazing Food & Whiskey Pairing
I have to state that Juli & I did not like whiskey when Joan & Jamie approach to us to open up the possibility of creating a Whiskey paring with our food. I have to say that in our mind this presented a challenge beyond our believe... Juli & I looked at each other and said... "How are we going to come up with a menu that paired with a drink that we do not know anything!!" haha... so the adventure began.

I have to state that Juli & I did not like whiskey when Joan & Jamie approach to us to open up the possibility of creating a Whiskey paring with our food. I have to say that in our mind this presented a challenge beyond our believe... Juli & I looked at each other and said... "How are we going to come up with a menu that paired with a drink that we do not know anything!!" haha... so the adventure began.
After researching in books, and reading about it here and there, we decide to ask Joan to give us a lesson to see if we could understand and decipher Whiskey from a pro.
If you have never done something like it I have to say that I recommend it, it is a must in everyone. The way she explains and described her passion was enough for us to start understanding the flavors, aromas and textures of whiskey. Just enough so we could imagine what types of food would paired great with it.
Then, we head back to the books again and everything made more sense! I will not say more as here is what happen that night in an amazing paring adventure between FEISTY SPIRITS & JULI Y JUAN'S KITCHEN, thru the eyes and lenses of the best photographer that we know in town: John Robson.

When people believe magic can happen... magic does happen. This amazing event was put together by one of our favorite venues, Windsong Estate Event Center. We had no idea what to expect, as this was our first time to be in the 3rd Annual Unveiled Bridal Fashion Show.
The venue was decorated amazingly!! Such a gorgeous job!! We set up our station and sharply at 5pm people started to arrive and the magic started to happen!! =D
It was great to see some familiar faces, and get to know a few new ones. The community is growing and there are great options out there.
Windsong Estate, thank you so much for inviting us to this incredible experience... we had such an amazing time that we cannot wait to see if we have the pleasure of getting invited again. Thank you for all you do and we look forward for a fun season of magical events!!

The party was a lot of fun and we all integrated into an amazing atmosphere, with John E. Hunt as a bartender keeping everyone served and happy!!!

This catering this lunch was such a great adventure. It always feels like a road trip going up to this amazing Park. This was the first of its kind. We very rarely have a request for a lunch in a wedding, so we where up for the challenge of course. =D

The Landing at Estes Park is a magnificent and gorgeous venue next to a ever-running river. The venue has a few small lodges and a great open free area to do events. If you have never been here, we completely recommend it!

This was definitely an adventure from beginning to end. Meeting Jeremy and Casey at a bridal show was an instant "Zing". Well actually the "Habanero Sauce" was the one that made the magic happen... and we are completely happy what came after this encounter.

This was definitely an adventure from beginning to end. Meeting Jeremy and Casey at a bridal show was an instant "Zing". Well actually the "Habanero Sauce" was the one that made the magic happen... and we are completely happy what came after this encounter.
The Tasting
This incredible experience happen in their beautiful home with some friends and we had the pleasure to express our love for food, gatherings and creating amazing chemistry amongst new friends... there was only one problem... we forgot the Habanero Sauce, and it was not until their wedding that Jeremy was going to be able to taste it again.
The Hurdles of Life
This adventure, like any other in life, was full of amazing moments and some kind a complicated. For a few months we had thought we where not going to be able to cater their wedding due to technicalities, but I know that in this occasion and thru the help of great friends we where all able to made it in the last day. But this is just life, one must follow their heart for what they really want, and very proudly I can say that Jeremy & Casey did follow theirs. Thank you guys!!

It was an amazing day and Tour the Fat was happening all over Fort Collins, Juli and I arrived with our truck and it was just a perfect day… you could feel it!! Got everything set up, there where tables everywhere and it was this gorgeous sight seeing, unique from Happy Heart Farm.
In no time people where everywhere and we got lucky as our amazing friend John Robson from and amazing photographer (Days at Camp) came to capture this incredible moment as we felt so honored to have been invited to share our culinary art with our great friends.
We want to say congratulations to Tara & Aaron for giving love a chance. We wish them and amazing adventure full of fun challenges and great memories. “May love always prevails upon anything life sets is your way; do it together as one and life will smile at you.
